Smartvatten has achieved ISO 27001 certification, strengthening the company’s approach to information security and the secure handling of data. The new certification complements Smartvatten’s existing ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) certifications.
ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 have long guided how Smartvatten works with quality, customer satisfaction, and environmental responsibility. The addition of ISO 27001 reflects Smartvatten’s continued development as a data-driven company and its commitment to protecting customer and operational information.
ISO 27001 is the internationally recognized standard for information security management. It ensures that organizations identify, manage, and reduce information security risks while safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.
For Smartvatten’s customers, the certification provides additional assurance that water consumption data and related insights are handled securely and responsibly.
Achieving these certifications is an important milestone for Smartvatten, says Linda Ehnholm, Director, Quality and Compliance.
Certifications confirm that our internal processes, environmental practices, and information security management meet international standards, and they support our mission to help customers act on water data, not just collect it, she continues.
Together, Smartvatten’s ISO certifications demonstrate a long-term commitment to quality, sustainability, and trust. They support Smartvatten’s mission to help customers act on water data, reduce water waste, and contribute to more sustainable water use in line with SDG 6.4.
